Southeast Extinguisher Service is a family owned business that provides fire extinguisher services; fire alarm services; special hazards services; first aid, CPR and fire extinguisher training; and first aid and safety supplies. We have been providing services in Southeast Alaska and across the State since 2000. The qualified applicant for this position will be trained to service fire extinguishers with the opportunity to grow within our business. This is an in-field technician position that requires customer service skills.
This position requires the following skills: customer oriented interpersonal skills; technical and/or mechanical knowledge and abilities; ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, specifications and schematics; must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend acceptable business English; and must have basic mathematical skills.
This job also requires a valid driver's license and safe driving record during all times of employment; the ability to accurately complete electronic forms and documents related to the inspection process with excellent attention to detail; regular and punctual attendance; able to work both independently and with other employees; the ability to travel (including small planes and boats); and the ability to be in small spaces, climb ladders, use power and hand tools, work both indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions and work at heights. The applicant must be able to pass background and driving checks and Federal drug tests (includes marijuana due to FAA requirements).
We provide all necessary training to obtain certifications. Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED or a Trade school or certification.
